BUBBA'S
Burger Bar and Egg Emporium
Breakfast from six in the morning, hand-smashed burgers after that, and pies made from scratch. Pull up a stool at the counter.
We open at six and we're done by two. Everything happens in between, and the day changes at eleven.
Breakfast,
then.
Eggs, hash browns, ham, bacon, waffles, and the Western omelet. It's cooked to order on the flat top a few feet from where you're sitting, which is the whole point of a counter.
Breakfast runs until eleven. After that we're on burgers, so if it's eggs you're after, come early.

Hand-smashed,
fries cut here.
The burgers are smashed by hand on the grill and the fries are cut fresh, skin on. There's a different lunch special every day, and there are pies made from scratch.
Today's special goes up on our Facebook page each morning, and it's on the board on the wall when you walk in.
See today's special on FacebookOne counter, shaped like a horseshoe.
There are no tables. There's a horseshoe counter with stools around it, so you end up sitting next to whoever else came in, and most mornings that's the same people.
We took Bubba's on in 2001, after years working in corporate restaurants and wanting something that fit better around family. Our daughters work alongside us now. The building itself has had a restaurant in it since the 1920s.

“We drove from Macon because we heard the burgers were good. The burgers are the very best! Hand smashed and cooked to perfection.”

“Great little diner! Husband and I ate lunch here when driving through Moberly. My Baby Bubba was delicious and my husband's Farmer 4 Way was the best burger ever. Great atmosphere, clean, friendly staff.”
“True small town diner. Great double cheeseburger and excellent onion rings. Service was great. Wish I'd have gotten the lunch special meatloaf, lol.”
“We had lunch and our 1/4 lb cheeseburgers and potato salad were very good! The service was quick and the diner was very clean. It was fun eating in this small town diner!”
